Creatures consumed by a terrible hunger, they will devour anything in sight and seek to infect others with their overwhelming hunger pangs. They resemble horses with vicious claws on their forefeet and tiny mouths. Their bite attacks do little damage, but can transfer their fierce hunger to others and render them consumed by physical pain and longing. They sometimes take the form of men enduring horrible agony in an attempt to lure passerbyers closer, that they might bite them and satiate their own suffering for a moment. They are so preoccupied with their physical drives that although they are somewhat intelligent, they rarely communicate unless somehow restrained. Hunger hosts have a stumbling, indirect line of movement that makes them difficult to follow yet slower moving than what they would normally be capable of.
